Here at Warrior Farms we are getting ready for our cover crops. Cover crops are planted primarily to manage soil erosion, soil fertility, soil quality, water, weeds, pests, diseases, biodiversity and wildlife in an agro-ecosystem.
Some of the main cover crops that we grow here at Warrior Farms are clover, barley, mustard greens and turnip greens. One of the biggest problems a farm can face is the threat of crop loss, and with these cover crops, helping maintain our agriculture is a little bit easier.
