Propagating Crops – Making more, wasting less

A smaller task on a farm that a lot of people might not know about is called propagating. With propagating, you take an existing plant, take a cutting from it, re-root it, and put it in water or soil using a root hormone and create a whole new plant from it!

It’s a good way to maintain crop levels and to use all parts of the plant so nothing going to waste. Some of the propagation plants we harvest here at Warrior Farms are strawberry mint, oregano, and lavender.

At Warrior Farms, we are all about using all parts and not letting anything go to waste. That includes meat and plants, and with propagating you can truly use a plant for all it’s worth. Plus, they smell great!
